I have been owner and Principal Dentist of the Edinburgh Dental Studio since 2010. I trained at Dundee University, qualifying in 2002, and completed my Vocational Training in a practice in Kirkcaldy. I also worked in practices in Glenrothes and Dunfermline. Having established the practice and taken over the Randolph Practice, I have developed a keen interest in Adult Orthodontics and have now treated hundreds of patients. I am keen to lead my team to deliver the high standards that I expect and I am immensely proud that we won both Best Practice and Best Team in Scotland at the Dentistry Awards in 2017.
I am a new Dad, and I am Fiona’s partner, so much of my time is spent adapting to this new role. I am a keen footballer and although my playing days are coming to an end, I still play seven-a-side football on Thursday nights. I am also a keen fan of one of the Edinburgh football teams who I regularly watch throughout the season.
Having just joined the team at Edinburgh Dental Studio I am really excited to get started. I can’t wait to meet and get to know all the patients. I qualified from Glasgow University in 2015 and have worked in a number of practices across Glasgow, however I am looking forward to a change of scenery in Edinburgh.
I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, and strive to deliver the highest quality of care for my patients. It is important to me that I provide long lasting restorations and keep your mouth as healthy as possible.
In particular I have a passion for cosmetic and restorative dentistry, and find that giving a patient the smile they have always wanted can be so rewarding. In order to be able to provide these treatments I have attended multiple training courses since qualifying, most recently learning from one of the UK’s leading restorative dentists. This means I can provide the most up to date techniques in restorative dentistry, whilst being as kind to your natural teeth as possible.
In the near future I am planning to undertake training in placing dental implants and I hope this will be something that I can add to the team here at Edinburgh Dental Studio.
Outside of dentistry, I have always played football, previously at university level and now for an amateur club. I also enjoy cooking and playing golf when I can.
Since joining Edinburgh Dental Studio in 2018 my main focus has been on providing both general and cosmetic dentistry. I have won awards at The Aesthetic Dentistry Awards 2021 for Internal Tooth Whitening and at The Dentistry Awards in 2022 for ‘Best Young Dentist’.
My approach places an emphasis on providing and maintaining healthy, long lasting smiles. A lot of time is invested into learning about and embracing new technology and techniques to ensure I’m always providing the best possible experience and care.
I qualified from The University of Sheffield in 2015 and then spent two years in Auckland, New Zealand before returning to the UK. Whilst in New Zealand I worked with and was mentored by some of the country’s leading dentists. My drive to push the boundaries of modern day dentistry led to me being elected onto the Executive Committee for the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
My wife and I are parents to Edie and Archie and also dog owners to Whiski, a cockapoo. We love exploring the world and I’m a sports fanatic, supporting both Liverpool and Kansas City Chiefs.
I was delighted to join the team at Edinburgh Dental Studio in August and meet all of our lovely patients. I’ve been a dental hygienist since 2004, working in various dental environments, I’ve enjoyed working with my patients in all aspects of my role & hope I can bring my experience to help my new patients at EDS with any oral hygiene & health care needs.
Outside of work I love spending time with my husband and 2 children, following the kids around with their hobbies at rugby pitches & highland games.
My journey in dentistry began in 2015, and I’ve since developed a deep passion for both patient care and clinical excellence. I initially qualified as a dental nurse and worked in practice from 2017, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and the opportunity to work alongside some of the most inspiring clinicians in the field. Their mentorship and support fuelled my ambition to further my qualifications.
I successfully graduated with honours from the University of Edinburgh as a Dental Therapist and now work within my full scope of practice, delivering preventative and restorative care to patients of all ages.
During my undergraduate studies, I developed a particular interest in paediatric dentistry and was honoured to receive the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry Undergraduate Prize award in 2023, recognising my commitment and contribution to the field.
In addition to clinical practice, I am passionate about contributing to the wider dental community. I authored an article in the Dental Health Journal exploring the link between infective endocarditis and periodontal treatment-an area I continue to research and advocate for within professional discussions.
I am currently undertaking a Master’s in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Medicine, allowing me to expand my skill set and integrate evidence-based aesthetic treatments- including Botox and dermal fillers – into my scope of practice. This training supports my goal of delivering holistic, patient-centred care that combines oral health with facial aesthetics.
Outside of dentistry, I enjoy long walks and have recently taken up playing tennis as a way to unwind and stay active.

I am the practice manager at Edinburgh Dental Studio, bringing over 15 years of experience in dentistry. I have been with the practice for five years, starting as a dental nurse and front-of-house receptionist. I later progressed to the role of treatment coordinator before stepping into my current position.
I feel incredibly privileged to manage such a talented and dedicated team. I take pride in helping our practice grow and ensuring our patients receive the best possible care and experience. Building strong relationships, both with patients and the local community, adds an incredibly fulfilling personal touch.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, running, reading, and attending music festivals. Staying active and enjoying good music are my favorite ways to unwind!
I have worked as a dental nurse since 2017, previously in an NHS based practice where I completed my nursing qualification, This was a new career path for me after having my first child and returning home from living in Melbourne, Australia where I worked for a large publishing company for almost 5 years.
I have enjoyed meeting and getting to know all our wonderful patients and love to be a part of their journey. I particularly enjoy watching our Invisalign and cosmetic treatment patients’ confidence grow with their smile.
I joined Edinburgh Dental Studio in August 2021 and was very pleased with my decision to move here, the team have been very welcoming, I couldn’t have asked for a better team to work alongside.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love spending time outdoors, all things spiritual, attending gigs and travelling when I can. We were very excited to welcome a new bundle to our family in November 2022, when I began maternity leave.
I achieved my SVQ in Dental Nursing at Glasgow Mentor Training Centre and since then have worked in both NHS and private dental practices. I have experience in general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and implant procedures. I have even assisted with doing Direct Hair Implantation procedures in a private clinic in Glasgow!
I joined the team at Edinburgh Dental Studio in January 2023. I’m the newbie member of staff and am really looking forward to getting properly stuck in and getting to know our patients.
My favourite part of my Patient Care Coordinator role is forming great working relationships with my patients and helping them feel comfortable in the practice environment. I really enjoy being the support through their treatment journey and love seeing so many happy faces when smile goals have been achieved.
Outside of work, I love to keep fit and active by going on walks and to the gym. I also really enjoy doing a bit of sightseeing, going on long drives and spending time with my family and friends.
I started working at Edinburgh Dental Studio in September 2022, I finished my training in April 2024 and qualified in October 2024, receiving an SVQ level 7 in dental nursing.
I love working beside such a great team, everyone is so kind and helpful. Whilst starting here in 2022 I have gained a lot of confidence, knowledge and met a lot of great patients whom I have enjoyed meeting and getting to know. I particularly enjoy watching cosmetic treatment from start to finish. I love being a part of helping people feel more confident about their smile and being happy with their teeth at the end of treatment.
Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym whether that be to lift weights or cardio classes. I also enjoy going to Pilates classes and keeping fit. I enjoy travelling to new places and seeing new countries when I can. I also love spending time with my family and friends in my spare time.

Before starting my career in dental nursing, I had recently completed school and was studying science in college. However, I was eager to gain work experience and new skills. Alex introduced me to EDS, and the job role was exactly what I had been looking for.
My duties within the practice include assisting various clinicians in a range of treatments and mentoring trainees. I enjoy my role for many reasons, such as working under pressure, helping patients achieve the new smiles they have always dreamed of, and raising their confidence through the process. I am excited to continue learning in the field of dentistry and hope to progress in my career in the future.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my dog and travelling whenever possible.
