I have been owner and Principal Dentist of the Edinburgh Dental Studio since 2010. I trained at Dundee University, qualifying in 2002, and completed my Vocational Training in a practice in Kirkcaldy. I also worked in practices in Glenrothes and Dunfermline. Having established the practice and taken over the Randolph Practice, I have developed a keen interest in Adult Orthodontics and have now treated hundreds of patients. I am keen to lead my team to deliver the high standards that I expect and I am immensely proud that we won both Best Practice and Best Team in Scotland at the Dentistry Awards in 2017.
I am a new Dad, and I am Fiona’s partner, so much of my time is spent adapting to this new role. I am a keen footballer and although my playing days are coming to an end, I still play seven-a-side football on Thursday nights. I am also a keen fan of one of the Edinburgh football teams who I regularly watch throughout the season.
My Mission:
I am passionate about delivering the highest quality of dental care and helping my patients achieve and maintain healthy, confident smiles. My focus is on providing long-lasting restorations, preventative care, and treatment tailored to each individual’s needs. I have a particular interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, and I find it incredibly rewarding to help patients achieve the smile they have always wanted. I am also planning to undertake further training in endodontic (root canal) treatment, allowing me to continue offering the most up-to-date techniques and helping patients preserve their natural teeth wherever possible.
A Little About Me:
I qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2015 and began my career working closer to home in Glasgow before seeking a new challenge in Edinburgh. I joined Edinburgh Dental Studio in May 2021 and have since built strong relationships with both my patients and the fantastic team here. I genuinely enjoy coming to work each day, whether I’m caring for existing patients or welcoming new ones to the practice.
I currently live in Glasgow with my wife, Laura, and our daughter, Maeve. We are also excited to be welcoming another baby into our family in September. Although I work in Edinburgh, I commute by train, which gives me the perfect opportunity to relax with a good book or catch up on my favourite TV shows.
In My Free Time:
When I’m not at the practice or spending time with my family, I enjoy keeping active. You’ll often find me at the gym, out for a run, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. I also take part in amateur CrossFit and HYROX competitions.
Fun Fact:
After having competed in amateur CrossFit and HYROX events, completing a half marathon is next on my list of goals!

A Little About Me:
My journey in dentistry began over 10 years ago as a Dental Nurse, where I had the privilege of working alongside a dentist whose passion for patient care and dentistry was truly infectious. That experience sparked my own love for the profession and inspired me to further my education and train as a Dental Therapist.
After completing university, I quickly realised that dentistry is a career where there is always more to learn. Continuous professional development is something I genuinely enjoy, and if you asked me what my plans are this month, there is a very good chance I’ll be attending a course, learning a new skill, or exploring the latest developments in dentistry and healthcare.
In My Free Time:
Outside of work, I love walking my puppy, Miss Cookie, who is a very active Toy Poodle and definitely keeps me on my toes. I also enjoy playing tennis with my family, travelling, and making the most of time spent outdoors.
Fun Fact:
If I close my eyes, I can usually fall asleep in under five minutes which has become my party trick! This summer, I’ll also be volunteering with a dental charity in Peru and visiting Machu Picchu, travelling light with just a backpack, dental instruments, and three changes of clothes, switching my scrubs to a hiking gear.

I am the Practice Manager at Edinburgh Dental Studio and have over 17 years of experience in dentistry. I have been with the practice since 2020, originally starting as a dental nurse and front-of-house receptionist before progressing into the role of Treatment Coordinator and then Practice Manager.

In My Free Time:
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, running, reading, and attending music festivals. Traveling to new places and spending quality time with my husband and 2 small children is my favourite way to switch off and recharge.
My Mission:
I love being part of our patients’ journeys and helping them feel confident in their smiles. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is seeing the incredible transformations that take place throughout treatment, particularly with Invisalign and cosmetic dentistry. Watching a patient’s confidence grow alongside their smile and knowing that our team has helped them achieve the results they always hoped for is incredibly rewarding. It’s a privilege to be part of that journey and to see the positive impact it can have on their everyday lives.
A Little About Me:
My career journey into dentistry has been a little different than most. Before joining the dental profession, I spent four and a half years living in Melbourne, Australia, where I worked for a large publishing company. It was an amazing experience that sparked my love of travel and exploring new places.
After returning to Scotland and having my first daughter, I decided to pursue a completely new career and began training as a dental nurse in 2017. I quickly discovered how much I enjoyed working with patients and being part of a profession that can make such a positive difference to people’s lives.
I joined Edinburgh Dental Studio in August 2021 and immediately knew I had made the right decision. The team were incredibly welcoming, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to work alongside.
Since joining the practice, my role has evolved considerably. I started as a dental nurse before moving into a front-of-house role and then into marketing. More recently, I stepped into the position of Practice Manager for seven months while Zoe was on maternity leave. I have now returned to my role as Business Marketing Manager, where I enjoy sharing our patients’ stories, supporting the growth of the practice, and showcasing the life-changing results our team achieves every day.
In My Free Time:
Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my family and friends and am a proud mum to two daughters. I enjoy being outdoors, practising yoga, hotel stays, going out for dinner and discovering new restaurants. One of my favourite things about a hotel getaway is a great buffet breakfast.
Travelling is another passion of mine, and I am always looking forward to planning my next adventure.

My Mission:
My goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment where every patient feels listened to, cared for and appreciated. I genuinely love talking to people and making connections, and if I can make someone’s day even 1% better, then I feel like I’ve done my job. That’s what motivates and drives me in my work.

I have been working in hospitality for the past ten years, which is where I discovered my passion for customer service, meeting new people, and helping others wherever I can. After moving to Edinburgh in 2020 for university, I honestly couldn’t imagine myself living anywhere else, as it has truly become my home.
