I have been owner and Principal Dentist of the Edinburgh Dental Studio since 2010. I trained at Dundee University, qualifying in 2002, and completed my Vocational Training in a practice in Kirkcaldy. I also worked in practices in Glenrothes and Dunfermline. Having established the practice and taken over the Randolph Practice, I have developed a keen interest in Adult Orthodontics and have now treated hundreds of patients. I am keen to lead my team to deliver the high standards that I expect and I am immensely proud that we won both Best Practice and Best Team in Scotland at the Dentistry Awards in 2017.
I am a new Dad, and I am Fiona’s partner, so much of my time is spent adapting to this new role. I am a keen footballer and although my playing days are coming to an end, I still play seven-a-side football on Thursday nights. I am also a keen fan of one of the Edinburgh football teams who I regularly watch throughout the season.
Having just joined the team at Edinburgh Dental Studio I am really excited to get started. I can’t wait to meet and get to know all the patients. I qualified from Glasgow University in 2015 and have worked in a number of practices across Glasgow, however I am looking forward to a change of scenery in Edinburgh.
I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, and strive to deliver the highest quality of care for my patients. It is important to me that I provide long lasting restorations and keep your mouth as healthy as possible.
In particular I have a passion for cosmetic and restorative dentistry, and find that giving a patient the smile they have always wanted can be so rewarding. In order to be able to provide these treatments I have attended multiple training courses since qualifying, most recently learning from one of the UK’s leading restorative dentists. This means I can provide the most up to date techniques in restorative dentistry, whilst being as kind to your natural teeth as possible.
In the near future I am planning to undertake training in placing dental implants and I hope this will be something that I can add to the team here at Edinburgh Dental Studio.
Outside of dentistry, I have always played football, previously at university level and now for an amateur club. I also enjoy cooking and playing golf when I can.
I joined the practice in 2018 and my focus is on allowing my patients to smile with confidence, and to take their best interests into what I do. I feel it is vital that I can support patients in making healthy choices about their ongoing dental health as well as improving smiles. My goal is to provide a gentle, high-quality, bespoke experience with an emphasis on embracing new technology while staying attuned with developments in dentistry.
I qualified from The University of Sheffield and returned to the UK following two years in New Zealand where I worked with and was mentored by some of the country’s leading dentists. My motivation to provide clinical excellence led to me being elected onto the Executive Committee for the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
My main area of interest lies in providing aesthetic restorative dentistry with an ethical minimally invasive approach. In 2020, I was a finalist in the Best Young Dentist category at the The Dentistry Awards, Private Dentistry Awards and Dentistry Scotland Awards. In 2021, I won an award at The Aesthetic Dentistry for an internal tooth whitening case and was a finalist in the Single Tooth Composite and Composite Smile Makeover categories.
In 2022 I won Best Young Dentist (Scotland and Northern Ireland) at The Dentistry Awards.
Outside of dentistry, I love travelling and all things sport, from playing hockey to going skiing and watching Liverpool FC.

I graduated from the Dental School of Athens in 2016 and worked within a paediatric and adult special care dental practice where I gained a lot of experience in helping nervous patients overcome their fear of dental treatment and improve their experience. I moved to Scotland in 2017 and have been working in general dental practice for the past 6 years gaining invaluable experience in many areas of dentistry before joining Edinburgh Dental Studio. During that time, I developed a special interest in Aesthetic Dentistry and the placement and restoration of dental implants, completing a 3-year Masters Degree with Distinction in Aesthetic Dentistry at King’s College London and I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Implant Dentistry. Alongside this, I love exploring new areas of dentistry and continuously strengthening my skills by attending various educational courses, such as facial aesthetics and crown lengthening.
My goal is to provide the best possible dental care for my patients to the highest quality. I love building a rapport with every patient to support and guide them appropriately in their efforts for better oral health.
The areas of dentistry that fascinate me are Smile Makeovers and Composite Bonding. I love helping patients achieve their dream smile and seeing the smiles on their face afterward.
