The secret to a beautiful smile

At Edinburgh Dental Studio, we use Philips Zoom! whitening products to achieve your winning ‘celebrity’ smile - and it’s easier than you might think! Our professional whitening gels are long lasting, highly effective and completely safe. They come as part of an at home kit, supervised by us, so you can whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home, at a time that suits you.

Philips Zoom! DayWhite

This product is ideal for patients who prefer to whiten their teeth in the day, wearing the bleaching trays for a shorter amount of time. It is also preferable for patients who grind their teeth.

Shade results: optimal results within 2 weeks

Philips Zoom! NiteWhite

Night whitening is perfect for patients who do not want their treatment to interfere with their daily routines and commitments, and prefer to wear the trays overnight. It is also the best option for patients with grey or tetracycline staining.

What are the benefits of Teeth Whitening?

Safe

When carried out by qualified dental professionals, teeth whitening is very safe. We keep an eye on your teeth throughout to ensure everything is progressing well.

Quick

Your new whiter smile is immediately visible following just 1-2 weeks of treatment, for a fantastic boost to your confidence.

Comfortable

The whitening trays are custom made to ensure a secure and snug fit when worn. They allow you to brighten your smile with no pain or interruption to your sleep.

Healthy

Whitening treatment chemically removes stains but can also be effective on bacteria present in the mouth. You are also more likely to look after your teeth when you’re proud of them!

What does the treatment involve?

1

Step 1

Initially, we will see you for a consultation appointment so we can check you are suitable for whitening and plan your treatment. You have the opportunity to ask any questions and we also determine whether day or night whitening would be preferable for you.

2

Step 2

We will take digital scans of your smile so your bespoke whitening trays can be created. We also make sure we record the starting shade of your smile, so we can compare it to your results once treatment has finished.

3

Step 3

When your whitening trays are ready, we show you how to apply the bleaching gel and leave you to get started at your own pace at home. We still keep a close eye on your teeth, and ensure you know you can get in touch during your home treatment if you have any concerns or questions.

4

Step 4

After you have worn your trays for the specified length of time, we see you again to view your results and check you are happy with your new whiter smile!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much does teeth whitening cost?

The Edinburgh Dental Studio fee for Tooth Whitening is from £450.00. This can be split into three payments if you prefer– at booking, at your appointment for impressions, and at your final session. We offer half-price Edinburgh Dental Studio whitening at the end of treatments such as Invisalign and Six Month Smiles.

  • How long do the results last?

Your teeth whitening results can last anything from a few months to a couple of years, depending on your individual case. It is easy to top up if necessary, using your original whitening trays and new gel supplied by your dentist.

  • Can my crowns/bridges/dentures be whitened?

All natural teeth can be whitened, but the treatment is not effective on dental restorations such as fillings, metal or porcelain crowns, bridges or dentures. You may choose to replace these with ones that match your new shade after whitening treatment, if necessary.

  • Is teeth whitening safe?

When carried out by qualified dental professionals, teeth whitening is very safe. We keep an eye on your teeth throughout to ensure everything is progressing well and are best placed to look after your oral health. It can be tempting to order whitening kits from the internet, but this should be avoided to protect your teeth.

  • Will I feel any pain during whitening treatment?

Teeth whitening is not painful, but you may feel some sensitivity in your teeth and gums during treatment. This is temporary, and will improve once your treatment is complete and you are no longer wearing the trays.
